this here turtle woke in a black, hopeless, dark, helpless state of mind today. deeply sad and definitely bad. disconnected. could not shake it to save my soul… and i desperately needed saving from myself today. plodded on, quietly.

let there be light. my bestest girl did not know how rotten i was with myself. yet, this arrived at my office. i knew. i knew she knew. she’s just that sort of friend. connected in a way that is beyond being able to explain. not only stunning to the eye, but so aromatic as well. my office swelled with olfactory goodness. knowing that only white flowers can lift me like nothing else. chocolate does not even come close. white flowers… light… and knowing.

yeah, i put on those sunglasses… stepped outside for a smoke and cried. not sadness. overwhelmed with love and tenderness, and even a bit of vulnerability.
